Here’s another set of summer hits that are keeping up my spirits, no matter the weather. It’s july and we’ve got still plenty of time to feel the summer sun and lots of stuff to do to enjoy it. Festivals, concerts, roof tops and oper air cinemas are a must. And concerning the soundtrack, here’s the latest shortlist of feel good vibes!
Ecco un altro set di successi estivi che tengono l’umore alto, nonostante il tempo. È luglio e abbiamo ancora un sacco di tempo per godere del sole estivo è un sacco di roba da fare per intrattenerci. I festival, concerti, aperitivi root top e cinema all’aperto sono un must. Per quanto riguarda la colonna sonora di questi momenti, ecco i primi classificati di presa bene del periodo.
1) Come kiss me quick – Nathan Sykes
With a retro-inspired intro, a high pitched voice and a young clean face, this is a great comeback for the The Wanted singer. This time Nathan is easygoing and all about hearts and butterflies, and we’re happy to join.
Con un intro un pó old school, una voce che raggiunge note alte e la faccia da bravo ragazzo, è tutto in regola per il celebre ritorno di un componente dei The Wanted. Questa volta Nathan si tiene leggero e ci parla solo di amore e farfalle nello stomaco, e noi con piacere gli andiamo dietro.
2) Here – Alessia Cara
Change of topic: in this addictive slow paced sexy song Alessia is all about being at the wrong party, feeling out of place and terribly wanting to leave. What we like about this song: her voice, first of all, so young yet so expressive and mature, then the main tune, which is nothing new, but it always hits the right spot. Awesome.
Cambiando repentinamente argomento, in questa canzone dal beat lento e sensuale Alessia si sente un pesce fuor d’acqua ad una festa che non è il suo genere e dalla quale vuole scappare. Cosa ci piace di questa canzone: innanzitutto la sua voce, così giovane ma allo stesso tempo matura, e la melodia di base, che non sarà di certo originale, ma sa colpire il punto giusto.
3) Shine – Years&Years
Yes i talk about them almost constantly. But they keep getting better and better! This is by far one of my favourite Y&Y’s hits. It’s simply electro pop but it still hasn’t tired me out. They are on top of the world right now and it’s well deserved.
Lo so finisco sempre con il parlare loro. Ma continuano a sorprendermi! Senza dubbio questo singolo è, fra le loro canzoni, una di quelle che preferisco. Sono in cima alle classifiche ed è un successo ben meritato.
4) Can’t Feel My Face – The Weeknd
Another song that has been around quite a while now, but it deserves to fit into a summer hitlist. Since the Fifty Shades of Gray nevrosis (see also: “Earned It”), this guy is riding the wave of success. And this commercial funky r’n’b-like track is going like crazy and setting the bar pretty high for his future.
Anche questo brano è nelle radio già da un po’ di tempo, ma merita di finire nelle classifiche estive. Dopo la Cinquanta Sfumature Di Grigio-mania (v. “Earned It”), questo ragazzo è sulla cresta dell’onda. Presentando questo singolo fortemente commerciale dal carattere funky un pó r’n’b, confermano di meritarsi la classifica e di voler rimanere sul pezzo.
5) Midnight Sun – Kate Boy
As expected, this summer has presented us with a gazillion new electro pop beach-ready hits and this is no exception. The one you wanna listen to while you drive on the coast at sunset, with your friends.
Come previsto, con l’arrivo dell’estate ci vengono propinate un’infinità di nuove canzoni elettro-pop da spiaggia e questa non fa eccezione. La musica di sottofondo perfetta a quel giro in macchina con gli amici lungo la costa.
6) Baby Love – Petite Meller
It starts quick and aseptic with Petit Meller’s flat voice, but then it rapidly ascends in the chorus with a hook that is contagious and that makes this song a massive hit. Best summer newcomer, for what I’m concerned.
Inizia veloce e asettica con la voce fredda di Petite Meller, ma poi cresce rapidamente nel ritornello dove diventa coinvolgente e contagiosa, rendendo questo brano una hit. La mia novita’ estiva preferita, senza dubbio.
