Raleigh Ritchie / Cuckoo

Being a Game of Thrones super fan as I am, when i found out that Raleigh Ritchie is nothing but Grey Worm, the leader of the Unsullied army, I went crazy. Plus, he’s undoubtedly a handsome lad.
As a matter of fact I enjoyed his music even before I found out who he was… and the newest product, “Cuckoo” is really nice. I love the crazy change just after the chorus, it definitely adds value to the track.

Essendo una super fan di Trono Di Spade, quando ho scoperto che Raleigh Ritchie non era nientemeno che Grey Worm, il capo dell’esercito degli Unsullied, sono impazzita. In più, é indubbiamente un bell’uomo.
A dire il vero apprezzavo la sua musica anche prima di scoprire chi fosse… E il suo prodotto più recente, “Cuckoo”, è davvero buono. Amo il cambio repentino di genere che avviene dopo i ritornelli, da un valore aggiunto al brano.

But Raleigh Ritchie (born Jacob Anderson) has lots of different influences in his music. There’s some r’n’b, house, dubstep, rap. I hear lots of Maverick Sabre in his style, with a pinch of electro added to it. Each song has a different vibe, but the songs I like the most are the ones that have that chillin’ positive rhythm, that remind me somehow of the whole US r’n’b movement of twenty years ago.
His most famous success is “Stronger than ever” that apparently got up to the 30th position of the UK chart.

Ma Raleigh Ritchie (nato Jacob Anderson) ha un sacco di diverse influenze nella sua musica. C’è r’n’b, house, dubstep e rap. Io ci sento Maverick Sabre nel suo stile, con un pizzico di electro sotto. Ogni canzone ha un feeling diverso, ma le mie preferite sono quelle che hanno quello stile rilassato e positive, che mi ricorda vagamente il movimento r’n’b americano di vent’anni fa.
Il suo successo più grande e’ “Stronger Than Ever”, che a quanto pare ha raggiunto il trentesimo posto nella classifica del Regno Unito.

Truth is I would like to recommend a song in particular but I like all of them and they’ve all got that something that makes them interesting. And some remixes are super cool too!

La verità è vorrei consigliare una canzone in particolare, ma mi piacciono tutte e hanno tutte un qualcosa che le rende interessanti. E anche alcuni remix sono stupendi!.
